I imagine the first time Mary held her baby was much like the first time you and I held our own children. We gazed into their eyes, pulled back the blankets to be sure sure he had all his fingers and toes, and then examined closely the color and amount of hair he had. As she held her new baby on that first Christmas night, I wonder if she knew that he had come to save and make us new.
This month we celebrate the birth of Jesus, so take time to read the Christmas story to your child and create moments to talk about how and why He came to us. He is God's gift to us!
Pre-School
This week we hear how God sends an angel to tell Mary she will have a son. The angel tells her that His name will be Jesus and He will be God's Son.
Memory Verse
"God so loved the world that He gave His only Son." John 3:16
Bottom Line
Jesus is God's Son
Truth
Jesus wants to be my friend forever
Elementary
It's an exciting month as we meet The Stars of Christmas and our first one to walk the red carpet is Mary. God sent the angel Gabriel to tell Mary she would have a baby and the child would be God’s Son. Though Mary was afraid at first, she listened to the angel and allowed God to use her in an extraordinary way.
Key Concept
God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things!
Memory Verse
"I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

Another Opportunity to Serve
Christmas Eve is always a favorite service for many who attend the Creek and for many who do not.
There is always a large number of children that night and we want to provide the BEST childcare we can for our Creekers and the many guests who will attend. We will hold three services that day and it will be necessary to increase the amount of volunteers in Creek Kids that night so that we can
adequately care for each child. Please contact Sarah Baker if you are interested in serving at one of our Christmas Eve services - sarahbaker@stevenscreekchurch.com
